The Gorman-Rupp SM3B1-X6 460/3 is a new, MSHA-permissible (MSHA Approval No. 2G-3971A-02) submersible electric dewatering pump designed specifically for underground coal and hard-rock mining applications, certified compliant with 30 CFR Part 18 requirements. The pump is rated at 6 HP, operates on 460V / 3-phase / 60 Hz power, and carries an overload set point of 13 A with a circuit breaker trip rating of 130 A as stamped on the mine-type control panel nameplate (S/N 1511342); it also holds Commonwealth of Pennsylvania approval No. BFE-637-77. The complete unit ships with a yellow-painted cast-iron submersible pump body, integrated mine-type explosion-resistant control box, braided stainless-steel discharge connection, and long yellow power/control cable, all packed in the original Gorman-Rupp factory carton (box label confirms model SM3B1-X6 460/3, S/N 1511342, ship weight 170 lbs, job no. J38722, dated 06/12/12). The SM3B1 series is purpose-built for high-volume mine dewatering sumps where permissibility, explosion-proof controls, and robust cast-iron construction are mandatory; the included mine-type control enclosure eliminates the need for a separate motor-starter panel at the application site.
