This is a new Gühring No. 6068 "Ratiobohrer" (Ratiodrill) solid carbide twist drill in Ø 3.8 mm with a cylindrical shank diameter of 4 mm (per the "Ø 3,8 25" label notation indicating the 25 mm shank designation class). The tool code "WN R-RTG" denotes the Werk Norm (Gühring internal standard), right-hand cut (R), and RTG (Richtungsgebundene Titan-Gold) coating — Gühring's proprietary TiN-based gold-tone PVD coating optimized for drilling steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials. The Ratiodrill series features a self-centering split point geometry with through-coolant capability (visible coolant hole at the drill tip in the photos), wide polished flutes for excellent chip evacuation, and a web-thinned point for reduced thrust force. Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses with collet or hydraulic toolholders; suited for drilling structural steels, alloy steels, and aluminum alloys in production environments.
