The Gühring No. 8511-8.500 (catalog/order number 9085110085000) is a new solid carbide twist drill from the RT 100 VA series, purpose-engineered for drilling stainless steel, high-alloy steels, duplex, and other difficult-to-machine materials. It is produced to DIN 6537L (long flute, 5×D cutting depth), features a right-hand cut (R), RT1 point geometry for improved centering and chip control, and is coated with Gühring's proprietary TiAlN nano-A (NANOA) multilayer nanostructured coating, which delivers outstanding hot hardness and oxidation resistance up to approximately 900 °C for extended tool life in tough alloys.
