This is a new GWS Tool Group solid carbide twist drill in 3/16 in (0.1875 in) diameter, finished with an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating as confirmed directly on the label (part number 460-101875B, designation "3/16 CARB TWIST DRILL AlTiN"). AlTiN coating provides a hardness of approximately 3,500 HV and excellent oxidation resistance up to ~1,650°F, making this drill well-suited for dry or minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL) machining of hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The drill features a standard 118° or 135° split-point geometry typical of GWS carbide jobber-length drills and is compatible with any 3/16 in collet, chuck, or toolholder accepting a straight shank. GWS Tool Group manufactures solid carbide round tools to exacting tolerances and this drill is offered in new, unused condition.
