The GWS Tool Group 36XF66 is a new, solid carbide jobber-length twist drill in 13/32 in (0.40625 in) diameter with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, as confirmed by the product label. AlTiN coating delivers hardness up to approximately 3,300 HV and excellent thermal stability, making this drill well-suited for dry or near-dry machining of hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and heat-resistant alloys at elevated cutting speeds. GWS Tool Group is a U.S.-based manufacturer of precision round cutting tools, and their XF-series solid carbide drills feature a 135° split-point geometry for self-centering, reduced thrust, and clean entry without a center punch.
