GWS Tool Group EM-R3M02-5 6X57 6SHKX 2mm 3FL AlTiN Ball Nose End Mill

This is a new GWS Tool Group solid carbide ball nose end mill, part number EM-R3M02-5 6X57 6SHKX, with a 2 mm cutting diameter, 3 flutes, 6 mm length of cut, 57 mm overall length, and a 6 mm straight shank. The tool features an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, which provides a high surface hardness, elevated heat resistance up to approximately 900°C, and excellent performance in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The long-reach, reduced-neck geometry — clearly visible in the photos — places the small-diameter cutting head well forward of the 6 mm shank, enabling deep-cavity and fine-detail milling in molds, dies, and complex 3D contour work on CNC machining centers. With 3 flutes, the tool balances chip evacuation capacity with core strength at this micro diameter, making it well suited for finishing passes in hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. Compatible with standard 6 mm ER collets or shrink-fit toolholders.
