The Haimer 80.360.00NG 3D-Taster New Generation (3D-Sensor NG) is a precision analog edge finder / 3D workpiece sensor made in Germany, designed for locating edges, holes, and bores on milling machines and machining centers. The unit reads deflection in all three axes (X, Y, Z) via a large 58 mm analog dial with 0.01 mm graduation and a ±0.5 mm measuring range per revolution, with a sub-dial revolution counter; the face clearly shows "0.01 mm" graduation and is rated IP67 for coolant and chip protection. The 10 mm cylindrical shank mounts directly in any standard collet chuck, ER collet, or milling chuck holder, and the ball-type probe body with the distinctive dimpled grip allows tactile hand-rotation for centering; the unit is shock-proof per the dial face marking and includes a hex key for probe tip changes.
