Heli-Coil 7552-5 5/16in-18 STI Tap Drive Insert Installation Tool

The Heli-Coil 7552-5 is a new tangless or standard coil thread insert installation tool designed for use with 5/16in-18 UNC STI (Screw Thread Insert) threaded holes. The tool features a threaded mandrel sized to the specific insert pitch, a cylindrical body that aligns the insert during installation, and a crank-style T-handle with a blue ergonomic grip for controlled manual torque application, all finished in a black oxide treatment for corrosion resistance. The 7552-5 is part of Heli-Coil's standard installation tool series and is compatible with Heli-Coil 1185-5 and similar 5/16in-18 wire thread inserts installed into STI-tapped holes in aluminum, cast iron, magnesium, and other materials where thread reinforcement or repair is required. The drive body incorporates a slip clutch or positive-stop mechanism to set the insert flush or below the parent material surface, and the crank handle allows single-hand operation for production or repair environments.
