Hercules Cryo-Tek-100 (part number 35287) is a full-strength, undiluted propylene glycol-based antifreeze concentrate formulated with the exclusive Cryo-Tek Triple Protection corrosion inhibitor package for use in hydronic heating, cooling, and closed-loop systems. This new, factory-sealed 55-gallon (208 L) drum is certified to ASTM D-1384 and delivers freeze protection down to -70°F / -57°C, pumpable protection down to -80°F / -62°C, and burst protection down to -100°F / -73°C at full concentration. The patented additive package provides corrosion, scale, and particle protection beyond that of propylene glycol alone, and standard refractometer readings require compensation adjustment using the supplied conversion table due to the additional freeze protection contributed by the inhibitor chemistry. Cryo-Tek-100 is compatible with copper, steel, cast iron, and most plastic components, but is not recommended for use in systems with rubber components; it is suitable for solar, geothermal, radiant floor, and forced-loop hydronic applications. The drum carries UN/DOT code 1A1/Y1.4/250/25 USA/M4935/RL, confirming it is a DOT-specification closed-head steel drum.
