This is a new factory pack of 12 Hertel Production Grade HSS jobber-length twist drills in Letter size B (0.2380 in / 6.045 mm), item number 84580497, also cross-referenced as Hertel 300SB B. The drills are manufactured from M2 high-speed steel with a black oxide surface treatment that reduces friction, retards chip welding, and provides moderate corrosion resistance. The 135° split-point geometry (Aircraft Type B per the label) eliminates the need for a center punch, self-centers on entry, and reduces thrust force compared to a conventional 118° point — making these suitable for drilling steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials in production environments. Shank style is straight round per jobber-length standard, compatible with any 3-jaw drill chuck accommodating up to 1/2 in capacity.
