The Hougen 12234 is a 12,000-Series high speed steel annular cutter with a 1-1/16 in cutting diameter and a 2 in depth of cut, intended for core drilling holes in steel with a magnetic base drill press. It has a multi-flute helical body with a bright uncoated finish and cutting teeth ground on the face, and it uses a 3/4 in Weldon-style flatted shank. The cutter is used with the Hougen 10528 pilot pin, which is included with this unit as shown in the photos. Supplied new, this cutter can be resharpened per the manufacturer's resharpening instructions.
