The Hougen 12624 is a new 3/4 in. (19.05 mm) diameter Rotabroach annular cutter with a 1 in. depth of cut, manufactured from M-2 high-speed steel and finished with a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating that increases surface hardness and extends tool life compared to uncoated HSS. The Rotabroach multi-flute helical design cuts only an annular ring rather than a solid slug, dramatically reducing the horsepower required versus conventional twist drills and producing a clean, burr-minimized hole in steel, mild steel, and structural steel. This cutter uses the industry-standard 3/4 in. Weldon-style shank with a cross-hole for the spring-loaded pilot pin and is compatible with Hougen magnetic drill presses (HMD series) and any magnetic base drill or drill press accepting a 3/4 in. Rotabroach/universal shank. Label on shank confirms part number 12624 and "3/4 in. Rotabroach" designation; the secondary code M357690-4907 visible on the label is Hougen's internal lot/revision identifier.
