The Hougen 12640-M417590-3108 is a new 1-1/4" diameter x 1" depth-of-cut Rotabroach annular cutter manufactured from M-2 high-speed steel with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating, as confirmed directly by the product label visible in the photos. The Rotabroach design features helical flutes and a hollow-core geometry that produces a slug rather than chips, dramatically reducing cutting force and heat buildup versus conventional twist drills in structural steel, mild steel, and plate applications. The 3/4" Weldon-style shank (visible in photos) with a cross-hole pilot pin bore is compatible with all standard magnetic drill presses accepting 3/4" Weldon arbors, including Hougen, Milwaukee, Jancy, and similar brands. TiN coating increases surface hardness and lubricity for extended tool life and improved chip evacuation compared to uncoated M-2 cutters. This is a new, unused cutter supplied in original Hougen plastic packaging.
