Hougen M406680-2408 7/8" x 1" M-2 HSS TiN Rotabroach Annular Cutter

The Hougen M406680-2408 is a new 7/8" diameter x 1" depth-of-cut Rotabroach annular cutter manufactured from M-2 high-speed steel with a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating, as stamped on the shank and confirmed on the original retail label. The Hougen Rotabroach design features a multi-flute helical geometry that removes only a thin ring of material, dramatically reducing cutting forces and heat compared to twist drills — the hollow annular form ejects a solid slug rather than chips across the full diameter. TiN coating on M-2 HSS increases surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in structural steel, mild steel, and plate fabrication applications. This cutter uses a 3/4" Weldon-style straight shank with cross-hole for the drive pin, compatible with Hougen, Fein, Slugger, Milwaukee, Jancy, and other magnetic drill presses that accept the industry-standard 3/4" shank with 7/16" cross-hole. The tool is supplied new in its original Hougen plastic protective container with ejector pin.
