The DPIM434R002 designation identifies a positive-geometry, diamond-profile milling insert with a 0.02 in (R002) corner radius, designed for use in Ingersoll's face and shoulder milling systems. Grade IN2505 is a CVD-coated cemented carbide grade — the gold TiN/TiCN/Al2O3 multilayer coating visible on the inserts is characteristic of IN2505, which is optimized for steel and cast iron milling at medium-to-high cutting speeds with good wear resistance and thermal stability.
