Iscar DSD-EF 41.28-FB Indexable Drill Body w/ Inserts EF Shank

The Iscar DSD-EF 41.28-FB (catalog/order # 9923810) is a new, indexable insert drill body from Iscar's SUMOCHAM / DSD series, designed for through-coolant deep-hole drilling on CNC machining centers. The "DSD" designation denotes a Double-sided Self-centering Drill body; "EF" indicates the exchangeable front-end head interface (EF-type interchangeable cutting head); "41.28" specifies the nominal drill diameter of 41.28 mm; and "FB" denotes the flange/body style with internal coolant channels. The tool body mounts replaceable SUMOCHAM or compatible EF-series cutting heads and is constructed from high-alloy tool steel with a dark nitride surface treatment for corrosion resistance, as seen in the product photos. Compatible inserts/heads use the EF 41 interface, and the body features multiple helical coolant channels visible at the shank end. Included Wiha Torx-style hex keys are visible in the photos for insert clamping. Made in Japan per the packaging label.
