Iscar GIPI 2.22-0.15 IC908 Carbide Grooving Insert (10 pcs)

The Iscar GIPI 2.22-0.15 IC908 is a new, indexable carbide grooving insert from Iscar's GIP (Groove-Turn Internal/Parting) insert family, designed for internal grooving and parting operations. Decoding the MPN: GIPI indicates internal grooving geometry; 2.22 specifies a 2.22 mm cutting width; 0.15 is the corner radius (0.15 mm); IC908 is Iscar's PVD-coated submicron carbide grade featuring a TiAlN-based coating, optimized for ISO P, M, K, N, S, and H material groups (as confirmed on the package label) with recommended cutting speeds of 70–180 m/min (230–590 SFM) and feed rates of 0.04–0.07 mm/rev. The IC908 grade delivers excellent wear resistance and thermal stability, making it well-suited for grooving steels, stainless steels, cast irons, non-ferrous alloys, superalloys, and hardened materials.
