The MPN "QCP 0496-2M" designates the quick-change peripheral (QCP) insert geometry for a nominal drill diameter of 4.96 mm (approximately 12.6 mm as also marked on the insert itself — the "126" in the alternate catalog reference QCP 126-2M refers to 12.6 mm drill diameter), with the "2M" suffix indicating a two-cutting-edge medium-length geometry.
