Iscar SCD 037-014-060 ACP3N 908 Solid Carbide Drill

This is a new Iscar SCD 037-014-060 ACP3N 908 solid carbide drill from the SCD (Solid Carbide Drill) product line, manufactured in Korea. The part number decodes as follows: 037 = 3.7 mm drill diameter, 014 = 1.4 mm pilot/step diameter, 060 = 6.0 mm shank diameter, ACP3N = point geometry designation (three-flute, nano-honed cutting edge with ACP point style), and 908 = Iscar carbide grade 908, a PVD-coated submicron grain carbide grade optimized for drilling steel, stainless steel, and cast iron at elevated cutting speeds. The dark black PVD coating visible in the photos is consistent with Iscar's IC908 TiAlN-based coating, which provides high thermal resistance and wear resistance for demanding drilling applications. The stepped/reduced-neck geometry (large shank relative to drill diameter) provides rigidity and allows deep-reach drilling in confined bores.
