KCP10 is a CVD-coated (TiCN/Al₂O₃) coated carbide grade engineered for high-productivity roughing of steel and cast iron at elevated feed rates, offering superior crater and flank wear resistance under interrupted and continuous heavy cutting conditions. The round (RN) insert geometry is double-sided and negative rake, providing multiple usable cutting edges and the robust edge strength required for aggressive depth-of-cut roughing passes; the knurled perimeter on the insert OD is characteristic of Kennametal's Kenloc positive-drive seating system, which prevents insert rotation under high cutting forces.
