This is a new Kennametal KSEM0672HP carbide insert blade for the SE-Drill Modular indexable drilling system, graded in KC7235 — a PVD-coated submicron carbide grade engineered for high-performance drilling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The KSEM designation identifies it as a periphery (outer) insert for the SE-Drill modular drill body, with the 0672 encoding a nominal diameter range of 6.72 in the Kennametal SE-Drill sizing convention; it is paired with the KSEM1707HPM inner insert on the same drill body. KC7235 features a TiAlN-based PVD coating providing excellent hot hardness and oxidation resistance, making it suitable for demanding drilling operations including dry cutting and high-pressure coolant (HP) applications as indicated by the HP suffix. Made in Germany and supplied in Kennametal's recyclable packaging (K4KS series), this insert is a direct OEM replacement for SE-Drill Modular toolholders requiring the KSEM0672HP periphery blade.
