The Kennametal KSEM2900FEGM is a new, indexable KSEM™ modular drill head with a 29.00 mm cutting diameter in grade KCPM45, made in Germany. KCPM45 is a PVD-coated submicron carbide grade engineered for high-performance drilling of steel, cast iron, and stainless steel, delivering excellent wear resistance and toughness across a broad range of work materials. The KSEM system uses a bayonet-style interface that mounts the head directly onto compatible KSEM drill body shanks, enabling rapid head changes without removal from the machine and maintaining precise axial/radial runout. Decoding the MPN: KSEM = product line; 2900 = 29.00 mm diameter; FE = point geometry/flute form (flat bottom capable, FE chipbreaker); GM = internal coolant through-hole configuration; KCPM45 = carbide grade.
