The Kennametal RCMT1204M0 is a round (R), positive-rake (C clearance = 7°), medium tolerance (M), with chip breaker (T = with hole + chipbreaker), precision ground carbide milling insert in the KCPK30 grade — a PVD-coated submicron carbide grade optimized for cast iron and hardened steel milling applications. The ISO designation decodes as: R = round shape, C = 7° clearance angle, M = medium tolerance class (±0.05–0.13 mm on IC, ±0.13 mm on thickness), T = with mounting hole and chipbreaker, 12 = 12 mm inscribed circle diameter, 04 = 4.76 mm thickness, M0 = Kennametal-specific chipbreaker designation for general milling.
