Decoded per ISO 1832: inscribed circle (IC) = 12.7 mm (1/2 in), thickness = 7.00 mm, cutting edge length = T01020 tip geometry with a 2.0 mm nose radius and full-face CBN construction. KY830 is Kennametal's solid polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) grade engineered for hard turning of hardened steels (45–65 HRC), gray and ductile cast irons, and powder-metal components at high surface speeds without coolant.
