The Kennametal RPPT1204M0SGP is a 12 mm round (circular) positive-rake carbide milling insert in the KCPM40 grade, manufactured in the USA and sold here new in the original factory 5-piece package. Decoding the ISO-style designation: R = round shape, PP = double-positive geometry (11° clearance both sides), T = close tolerance, 1204 = 12 mm IC / 04 mm thickness, M0 = no hole chamfer / torx-style clamping, SGP = Kennametal's "DAISY" medium chipbreaker geometry optimized for general-purpose milling. KCPM40 is a PVD-coated (AlTiN/TiAlN-family) uncoated-substrate cermet/carbide grade engineered for medium-duty milling of steels, stainless steels, and cast irons at moderate to high cutting speeds with excellent edge toughness.
