This is a factory-new box of 5 Kennametal SNMG150612RN (ANSI: SNMG543RN) square turning inserts in grade KCP25B, a CVD-coated multilayer carbide grade engineered for general-purpose turning of steels and cast irons (ISO P05–P35, K10–K30). The ISO designation decodes as: S = square shape (90°), N = 0° clearance angle, M = M-tolerance, G = with hole and chipbreaker, 15 = 15.875 mm inscribed circle, 06 = 6.35 mm thickness, 12 = 1.2 mm nose radius, RN = Kennametal's RN chipbreaker geometry, a medium-duty chip former suited for a wide range of depths of cut and feed rates in roughing to semi-finishing. KCP25B features a TiCN/Al₂O₃/TiN CVD multilayer coating over a tough, fine-grained carbide substrate with a post-coat surface treatment that improves edge reliability and reduces built-up edge. These inserts are compatible with SNMG-style toolholders accepting IC 15.875 mm (5/8 in) square inserts, including Kennametal MCLNR/L, MSDNN, and DCLNR/L style holders.
