The Kennametal SVABR103B is a new, right-hand external turning toolholder using S-style (screw-on) clamping, designed to accept VBMT (35° diamond) inserts with a 3/8 in IC. Decoded from the ISO designation: S = screw clamping, V = 35° diamond insert shape, A = 3° clearance angle, B = shank style/approach angle (75° side cutting edge angle), R = right-hand cut, 10 = 5/8 in square shank (10/16 in), 3 = insert size IC 3/8 in, B = 4.5 in overall length. The holder body is manufactured from hardened alloy steel with a black oxide finish and features a precision-ground insert pocket for accurate, repeatable insert indexing. This toolholder is suited for OD turning, facing, and light profiling operations on CNC and manual lathes, accepting standard VBMT 16T3 (metric) / VBMT 332 (inch) inserts secured by a Torx-drive clamp screw; a T15 Torx wrench is included.
