This Knight Carbide TPMW53.53J C2 is a special-order 60-degree triangle turning insert with a 5/8 in inscribed circle, supplied as a pack of 5 in the original blue plastic case. The TPMW designation decodes to a triangle shape (T), 11-degree positive clearance (P), M tolerance class and a single-sided countersunk center hole (W), and the box is marked with item number KC15469. It is made from C2 grade carbide, a general-purpose straight tungsten carbide grade commonly used on cast iron and non-ferrous materials, and the inserts show a ground, uncoated dark finish.
