This starter features an aluminum die-cast nose cone housing, an integrated solenoid mounted on the field frame, and a helical-drive pinion gear (visible in photos) that engages the flywheel ring gear; it is a 12V DC unit consistent with Kohler CH440 engine electrical specifications.
