The Kurt PowerLock BR1000 (model 101-02) is a pneumatic automatic power drawbar assembly designed to replace the manual drawbar on Bridgeport-style vertical knee mills and compatible spindles, enabling hands-free tool changes via push-button actuation. The kit includes the PowerLock pneumatic drawbar unit with integrated air-over-spring belleville stack actuator, a black cylindrical air reservoir/accumulator (visible in photos), an MFD MGL200-08 filter-regulator (10–110 PSI, 1/4 in NPT), an MGFR200-08-S filter-regulator subassembly (20–130 PSI), an IMI Norgren S12-2052 solenoid valve (A24 282, visible in photo), a drawbar extension rod, pneumatic tubing/hoses, a wire harness, and the original Kurt Automatic Power Drawbar Assembly operating instructions manual. The drawbar actuator uses compressed air against a Belleville spring stack to release the collet chuck, then spring-return to clamp — eliminating spindle brake wear and speed-matching required with manual bars.
