The Kyocera SGS Tool 66010 is a new, solid carbide, 2-flute, 3.0 mm diameter twist drill from the Series 106 "TA" (Through-Hole/Tap-Action) line, with a 16 mm flute length and 46 mm overall length, made in the USA. SGS Series 106 drills are manufactured from submicron-grain solid carbide and are designed for high-precision drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. The straight shank (3.0 mm shank diameter) is compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting 3 mm shanks. The "TA" designation indicates a split-point geometry engineered for accurate hole location without center-punching and for reduced thrust force. At 3.0 mm diameter with a 16 mm flute length, this drill achieves up to approximately 5.3× diameter depth, suitable for through-hole and blind-hole drilling in precision machining and production environments.
