The Kyocera SS0750DRA160M5 is a new, steel-bodied replaceable-tip drill (DRA series) with a 3/4 in (0.750 in) cutting diameter and a depth-of-cut ratio of 16xD (approximately 12 in maximum drilling depth), designed to accept Kyocera DRA-series indexable carbide drill tips secured by a Torx Plus clamp screw. The body features helical flutes with an AlTiN-type black PVD coating on the shank and body for corrosion resistance, an M5 Torx Plus clamp screw pocket (HS-3048TRP screw, FTP-6 Torx Plus wrench per the included instruction sheet No. 1502-1), and internal coolant-through capability for effective chip evacuation and thermal management. Compatible DRA drill tips for this body include the 0.750 in diameter range of Kyocera DRA insert tips; the straight cylindrical shank is designed for use with standard drill chucks, collet holders, or Kyocera-compatible toolholders.
