The Leonard 170D-LF is a lead-free, point-of-use thermostatic mixing valve manufactured by Leonard Valve Company (Cranston, RI) and certified to ASSE 1070 standards, designed to blend hot and cold water supplies to a safe, controlled mixed outlet temperature. The valve body is cast brass construction with five 3/8 in NPT male ports — dual hot (H) inlets, dual cold (C) inlets, and one mixed (M) outlet — and includes a tamper-resistant adjustment screw with a steel locknut on top for field temperature setting. Supplied new-in-box with a bag of brass fittings/accessories, this valve is suited for point-of-use scald protection at sinks, lavatories, and eye/face wash stations in healthcare, institutional, and commercial facilities. The 'D' designator in the model number indicates the dual-inlet (hot and cold) configuration, and the 'LF' suffix confirms lead-free brass construction compliant with NSF/ANSI 61 and the federal Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act.
