Loctite 510 (IDH 234225) is a medium-strength, high-temperature anaerobic flange sealant supplied in a 250 mL squeeze tube, new and unused. It cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces to form a tough, solvent-resistant gasket that eliminates the need for pre-cut gaskets on rigid flanged assemblies. Loctite 510 is formulated to withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 150°C (302°F) with intermittent resistance to 200°C (392°F), and resists hydraulic fluids, oils, fuels, and coolants. The product cures on active metals such as steel and cast iron without primer, and on passive metals such as stainless steel and aluminum with the use of Loctite Primer 7649 or 7471. Typical applications include gearbox housings, pump housings, compressor end caps, and other rigid flanged joints where a formed-in-place gasket is required.
