Loctite 609 IDH 135512 High Strength Press Fit Retaining Compound 50 mL

Loctite 609 (IDH 135512) is a high-strength, anaerobic retaining compound formulated specifically for press and slip-fit cylindrical assemblies such as bearing-to-housing and shaft-to-hub joints, where it fills micro-voids between mating metal surfaces to dramatically increase load capacity and prevent fretting corrosion. The product is a green-colored, single-component methacrylate ester that cures in the absence of air when confined between close-fitting metal parts, delivering a compressive shear strength of approximately 3,000 psi (20.7 MPa) on steel per Henkel's published technical data sheet. With a fixture time of roughly 10–20 minutes on steel at 72°F and a full cure in 24 hours, it is engineered for use with bearings, bushings, rotors, and cylindrical parts where press-fit retention must be augmented or standardized gaps must be accommodated.
