This is a new Lyndex 5C round collet in 3/16 in (0.1875 in) bore size, Lyndex part number 540-012, as confirmed by both the box label and the stamped markings on the collet face. The 5C collet features the industry-standard 5C taper and external thread on the nose for use in 5C-compatible spindles, collet chucks, collet fixtures, and index fixtures on lathes, grinders, and milling machines. The collet is a four-jaw (4-slot) design visible in the face photo, ground from hardened tool steel to provide accurate, repeatable workpiece or toolholder clamping on 3/16 in round stock. Lyndex (now Lyndex-Nikken) manufactures this collet to DIN 6343 / industry-standard 5C dimensional specifications, making it a direct-fit replacement for OEM and aftermarket 5C spindles across Hardinge, Leblond, and other 5C-compatible machine tool brands.
