This listing is for five (5) new M.A. Ford TuffCut® GP Series end mills, MPN 11417720A (also labeled 1140450A), featuring a 4.50 mm cutting diameter with a 14 mm length of cut and 51 mm overall length. These are solid carbide, 4-flute, square-end end mills with a chipbreaker geometry on the flutes, designed for general-purpose milling of steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and high-temp alloys. The tools are coated with M.A. Ford's proprietary ALtima® PVD coating (an AlTiN-based coating) that provides high hardness and oxidation resistance up to approximately 900°C, enabling higher cutting speeds and extended tool life compared to uncoated carbide. Made in the USA, these end mills are suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with ER collet chucks or precision toolholders accepting a 4.50 mm shank diameter. The chipbreaker geometry breaks chips into manageable segments during roughing passes, reducing cutting forces and heat generation.
