The M.A. Ford 13550000N is a new, USA-made TuffCut® AL series 2-flute solid carbide necked end mill with a 1/2 in cutting diameter, 5/8 in neck diameter, 1-1/8 in length of cut, and 3 in overall length, featuring a 0.020 in corner radius. The TuffCut AL series is specifically engineered for high-speed machining of aluminum and non-ferrous materials, utilizing a polished flute geometry and a dark PVD coating (visible in the photos) that minimizes built-up edge and promotes chip evacuation in gummy materials. The reduced-diameter neck (5/8 in) enables deep-pocket and cavity milling with increased clearance, and the straight 1/2 in shank is compatible with standard ER collet chucks, milling chucks, and end mill holders.
