The Mahr 2191802 Pocket Surf IV is a new, portable contact-type surface finish profilometer designed for shop-floor and inspection use, measuring Ra, Rmax, Ry, and Rz parameters with a measuring range of Ra 1 µin to 250 µin (0.03 µm to 6.35 µm). The instrument uses a diamond-tipped stylus with a 0.0002 in (5 µm) nominal tip radius driven by an internal motorized traverse unit, and reads directly in both inch (µin) and metric (µm) units via a digital display. Power is supplied by a standard 9V battery (included Rayovac), and the complete kit ships with a CalSurf certified roughness standard tile with calibration certificate, a V-block workpiece support, magnetic battery cover, and full instruction manual — everything required for immediate out-of-box deployment.
