Maudlin 316-004-12-50 0.004" 316 SS 12" Wide 50" Long Stainless Steel Shim Coil

This is a new Maudlin Products 316-004-12-50 annealed 316 stainless steel shim stock coil, 0.004 inches thick and 12 inches wide, supplied in a 50 inch roll. The material is certified to AMS-5524K, ASTM-A-240, and AMS-5507F, with DFARS 252.225-7008 and 252.225-7009 requirements met, as documented by the included Certificate of Compliance (Heat# 863982, Lot# 212560). Type 316 stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance compared to 304 due to its molybdenum content (2.0–3.0%), making it well-suited for marine, chemical processing, food processing, and pharmaceutical environments where chloride exposure is a concern. The annealed condition delivers a minimum tensile strength of 75,000 psi and minimum 40% elongation in 2 inches, with a maximum Brinell hardness as specified under AMS-5507F, enabling easy cutting, forming, and fitting for precision shimming, leveling, and gap-filling applications in machinery alignment and tooling setups.
