The base model 54725 is Medeco's steel-body shrouded-shackle padlock built on the Biaxial cylinder platform (Tech code T), which uses both angled and rotated key cuts to dramatically increase pick resistance and key control compared to standard pin tumbler designs. Finish code 06 designates a matte black epoxy powder-coat over the hardened steel body, the keyway is DL (a Medeco restricted keyway), and pinning code Q indicates the cylinder shipped without customer-specific key cuts — meaning the removable brass cylinder core is present but unpinned, making this unit intended for field rekeying or integration into a keyed-different master-key system by a qualified locksmith.
