Merit Abrasives 08834164914 PowerLock Quick-Change sanding discs (box of 100) are 2-inch diameter, Type 3 (plastic button/male fitting) aluminum oxide abrasive discs running 50 grit (coarse), as confirmed by the box label designator "50ARB" — where "50" is the grit, "A" denotes aluminum oxide, "R" indicates a resin bond, and "B" signifies a polyester/cotton fiber backing. The PowerLock QC Type 3 attachment system uses a threaded male plastic hub that locks into a compatible PowerLock mandrel with a quarter-turn, eliminating the need for tools for disc changes on die grinders and straight grinders. At 50 grit, these discs are engineered for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, deburring, and surface conditioning on ferrous and non-ferrous metals; the aluminum oxide grain fractures during use to continually expose fresh cutting edges, sustaining cut rate through the disc's life. This is a new, factory-sealed box of 100 discs assembled in Mexico under Merit's standard production specifications.
