Metacaulk 66442 2" x 18' Intumescent Firestop Wrap Strip

The Metacaulk 66442 Wrap Strip by RectorSeal is a flexible intumescent firestop strip measuring 2 inches wide by 18 feet long, designed to create a fire-rated seal around combustible plastic pipe penetrations through fire-rated wall and floor assemblies. The graphite-based intumescent material expands rapidly when exposed to heat, compressing the collapsing plastic pipe opening to maintain the fire-rated integrity of the assembly. This new, factory-sealed roll carries a 30-year warranty as printed on the packaging and is UL-classified for use in through-penetration firestop systems. The strip is installed by wrapping it around the pipe at the penetration point and securing it within or against the wall/floor assembly, making it compatible with PVC, CPVC, and ABS drain, waste, and vent (DWV) pipe applications. Manufactured by RectorSeal (a CSW Industrials company), product code 66442, with bilingual English/French labeling indicating suitability for the North American market.
