The Micro 100 ARM-250-5X is a new, USA-made solid carbide 5-flute end mill from Micro 100's "Super Carbide" line, featuring a 1/4 in (0.250 in) cutting diameter and a matching 1/4 in round shank. The ARM (Advanced Roughing/Milling) series designation and 5-flute geometry are engineered for high-material-removal-rate roughing and semi-finishing in ferrous materials including alloy steels, tool steels, and stainless steels. The dark AlTiN-class coating visible in the photos provides elevated hardness and thermal resistance, allowing dry or minimal-coolant operation at aggressive chip loads. The 5X suffix indicates a 5× diameter cutting length (1.250 in length of cut), providing reach for deeper pocketing and slotting operations while the tight flute count maintains chip evacuation. Compatible with standard 1/4 in ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders.
