The Micro 100 ASM-500-2 is a new, solid "super carbide" 2-flute square-end end mill with a 1/2 in (0.500 in) cutting diameter and matching 1/2 in shank diameter, designed for general-purpose milling in steels, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. The ASM (All-purpose Square end Mill) series is manufactured from Micro 100's proprietary sub-micron grain carbide substrate, ground to tight tolerances for runout control and surface finish quality. With 2 flutes, this tool provides excellent chip clearance and is well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations in both CNC machining centers and manual mills using standard ER or end mill collet holders accepting a 1/2 in shank. The uncoated (bright) finish visible in the photos is consistent with Micro 100's standard ASM series, optimized for use in aluminum and non-ferrous materials where coating adhesion is less critical than edge sharpness.
