The Micro 100 BBL-160600 is a new solid carbide boring bar from the BBL (Bright Boring, Left-hand) series, designed for internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. The part number encodes key dimensions directly: a 0.160 in minimum bore diameter, 0.600 in maximum boring depth, and a 3/16 in (0.1875 in) shank diameter; the tool features a bright (uncoated) finish and a left-hand cutting geometry with a 0.0660 in center-to-cutting-tip offset. Manufactured from Micro 100's proprietary "Super Carbide" submicron carbide substrate in the USA, this bar delivers the rigidity and vibration resistance required for precision finishing passes in small-diameter bores in materials such as aluminum, brass, plastics, and non-ferrous alloys. The cylindrical shank is compatible with standard boring bar holders and sleeves accepting 3/16 in shanks.
