The Micro 100 BLRM-030-2 is a new, USA-made solid "Super Carbide" long-reach ball-nose end mill with a 0.030 in (0.762 mm) cutting diameter and 2 flutes, designed for deep-cavity profiling and contouring in confined areas where standard-reach tools cannot reach. The part number decodes as: BL = Ball Long-Reach, RM = right-hand helix/right-hand cut, 030 = 0.030 in cutting diameter, 2 = 2 flutes; the extended neck taper visible in the photo provides rigidity while allowing deep reach with minimal wall clearance. The tool features a dark PVD-style DLC or AlTiN-family coating (confirmed by the uniform black finish on both shank and flutes visible in the image), consistent with Micro 100's standard treatment for their BLRM series, reducing friction and extending tool life in steels, stainless, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials.
