The Micro 100 BMR-027-2 is a new, solid submicron-grain carbide ball-nose end mill from Micro 100's "Super Carbide" line, manufactured in the USA. The part number decodes as follows: BMR = Ball Mill, Regular Length; 027 = 0.027 in (0.686 mm) ball diameter; 2 = 2 flutes. The tool features a tapered shank profile clearly visible in the photograph, with the full shank diameter substantially larger than the cutting diameter, providing rigidity during micro-milling operations. Micro 100 BMR-series end mills are ground from submicron carbide substrate and carry a dark PVD AlTiN-class coating (visible as the black finish in the photo), making them suited for hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and non-ferrous alloys in mold-making, medical device, and precision die-sinking applications. The tool is compatible with standard ER and precision collet chucks accepting its shank diameter.
