Micro 100 BMR-032-2X AlTiN 2-Flute 1/32in Carbide Ball End Mill

The Micro 100 BMR-032-2X is a new, solid carbide ball nose end mill in the "Super Carbide" series, made in the USA, featuring a 1/32 in (0.03125 in) ball nose cutting diameter, 2 flutes, and an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) PVD coating visible as the dark finish on the flute section in the photos. The AlTiN coating provides a surface hardness exceeding 3,000 HV and a working temperature tolerance up to approximately 1,470 °F, making this tool well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting of hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium alloys, and other difficult-to-machine materials. With a 0.096 in length of cut and 1-1/2 in overall length, the long-reach tapered neck geometry — clearly visible in the product photo — allows access to deep or confined cavity features while the large 1/8 in shank provides rigidity in collet-style toolholders (ER collets, precision pin vises). This micro end mill is designed for high-speed CNC milling applications such as die/mold finishing, medical component machining, and fine detail work where a miniature ball profile and tight tolerances are critical.
