The Micro 100 BMR-033-2X is a new, single-end solid carbide ball nose end mill with a 0.0330" (1/32") cutting diameter, 2 flutes, 0.099" length of cut, and 1-1/2" overall length, packaged in Micro 100's standard glass vial for protection. The tool features an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating applied over the fluted section, which provides elevated hardness, oxidation resistance up to approximately 1470°F, and reduced friction — making it well-suited for dry or near-dry cutting in hardened steels, titanium alloys, stainless steel, and nickel-based superalloys. The tapered reach/neck relief visible in the photo allows access to deep pockets and cavities while minimizing deflection risk at this micro diameter. The BMR series (Ball Mill, Reduced neck, extended reach) is designed specifically for micro-milling applications in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles with ER or precision collet toolholding systems accepting a 1/8" shank.
